Our New Stove

So I thought since a couple of my old friends from back home have blogs and update regularly, maybe I should try it out, too!

Today I'm feeling slow at work. I get this way on Mondays sometimes. It feels like it takes longer than it should to get things accomplished. I have to admit, I'm a little bit distracted because at my house right now we're getting a new stove and microwave! I'm so excited about it. The stove is already in -- a beautiful, shiny, black, smooth top electric range.



The microwave is over the range and is stainless steel and black. I guess it's OK to mix black and stainless steel appliances. I've been watching lots of HGTV and they seem to think it's a "no no", but I can't imagine it would make any difference in the long run. The stove and microwave are the first step in a complete kitchen re-do that includes painting, new backsplash and maybe new counters. Of course, none of this will happen until the spring!
