We're having church up in here because football season is OVER

And all God's (non-football loving people)(which is like, three of us) said AMEN.

There's a party this Monday morning on It's Blogworthy. It's a combination welcome home and going away party -hello, Sunday afternoons out and about instead of sitting in front of the TV for 12 hours, goodbye FOOTBALL.

I feel like dancing.

Contrary to what I posted yesterday all day on Twitter, I really do love the Super Bowl. It's a celebration for me rather than a game. In fact, it's 100% not even about the game and 110% about the food -- the glorious Super Bowl spread, the only reason to tune in (except for the commercials).

This year, we had a Pizza Hut dippers pizza because advertising works on us. It's the one where all the sexy, young people are all, "we need a pizza that will feed our whole crew, but where can we find one *sads*. Oh I know!! Let's get a pizza cut into 24 mini-slices! That will surely feed a party with 30 people, much like how Jesus fed the masses with 5 loves and 2 fish. Thank you Pizza Hut. Cut to a shot of said young people with cheese stringing from the cheesy slice of love to their mouths."

Yeah, we got one of those.

And it was DELICIOUS.

And later I felt like dying, because on top of that pizza, we had sausage and Velveeta dip. I browned some sausage, cut up Velveeta, and dumped them both, along with  various other spices and salsas into a crock pot. Serve. Enjoy. Don't poop for 4 weeks.

I voted for Green Bay, only because I don't like the Steelers, which is only because we used to live in WV where everyone is a Steelers fan even though Cincinnati is a FAR closer team for which to cheer. And that's the highly scientific process by which I choose who I root for, much like last year when I voted for the Colts because Peyton Manning was in a commercial with Justin Timberlake. It's also why I will always root for any team with a player who is dating or married to a Kardashian.

I'm very patient with my sports loving husband. Really and truly, I am. We watch college football and pro football starting in August. Then November rolls around and we add college basketball into the mix and that's the peak of my grumpiness, when sports darkness has almost completely closed in on me until the light at the end of the tunnel -- bowl season  -- begins.

A few weeks of playoffs, then we have Super Bowl time.  It's called the Super Bowl because it's 'SUPER' I don't have to watch football again until August.

Admittedly, I enjoy college basketball WAY more than either kinds of football, so after football is over, it's just a hop, skip and jump to the NCAA tournament, which I LOVE. I love because that's the end of his season and the beginning of mine: The Bachelor, Dancing With the Stars and American Idol are all in full swing.

So did you watch the game? Do you like sports? Married to someone who does? How do you cope?

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the football but it does give me free time to make crafts and watch tivoed Grey's Anatomy on Sunday afternoons while my husband watches football. So overall, it's not too bad. I will occasionally even watch some of it with him. But I do also prefer college basketball a lot more.

Well, I haven't really gotten into NFL football until this year. It's fun for me to see former Gator players go to the big league. In this case, I didn't really care who won the Super Bowl. Former Gator Pouncey plays for the Steelers but couldn't play in the game (sad!) because of an injury. But I was also hoping Aaron Rodgers could pull out a win to say TAKE THAT BRETT FAVRE!

Of course I also watch for the commercials, but my problem is I am so used to zoning out during commercials in general, that I was forgetting I was supposed to be watching these!! By the way, the Doritos commercial where the guy sucked the other guy's fingers totally grossed me out and DOES NOT make me want to buy Doritos!

As for my hubby, he really doesn't care a whole lot about football, although he wanted the Steelers to win this one. Maybe because his family is from Virginia? Who knows. He prefers baseball. I prefer college football, but I wish I liked college basketball like you do!!!

I was rooting for the Packers cause I've always disliked the Steelers! And I like cheese.

I'm a year round sufferer. The TO is a big hockey fan, too. I hate all sports.

I always liked football, but never really had my own team. Till I might my future husband. He turned me into a HUGE Steelers fan in less than a year.

We are in mourning today.

Oooh, the magic of ad campaigns.

I ate junk all day long and seriously may never poop again. Ekk! I missed the game but I was really hoping the Packers would win. I was glad to hear they did when I got up this morning!

I am all about the food as well. Our spread was Chili, Hot Dogs, Cheese Balls, Crackers and Summer Sausage. Oh and some cookies too! And as for that velveeta mess, that would make me poop immediately! Cheese has the opposite effect on me, especially velveeta!

We are Browns fans in my house (I know, we're losers) so anyone who is not the Steelers or the ravens are good for us. I don't really give a crap about sports. Dave is a big sports fan though.

I was pretty bummed too because I thought that the commercials were all pretty lame. That is the real reason why I watch. You know, along with the food!

"The Bachelor, Dancing With the Stars and American Idol"

Yup! This is pretty much what's on our actual TV now. Praise Jesus for streaming content in your computer.

I really like your math, though I was disappointed there wasn't a pie chart or graph depicting the %'s.

You know where I stand on all things sports, but I'm actually glad football is over and I can focus solely on college bball until April!

Did you see that SNL skit about how you should keep your kids away from Peyton Manning? Good times.

I am the sports lover in our household, oddly enough.

My husband is pretty patient with me, although he's couting the days until Wee 'Burb is manageable enough to take to a sports bar with me :)

I've never been a football fan either. And like you, I love Peyton Manning based on his SNL appearance and his stupid commercials and not because he's one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

However, J bought season tickets to The Giants this year and I got dragged to every. single. game. At first it was annoying, but after about 5 games I started to get into it and now I actually really enjoy it.

When I was watching the Superbowl this year I actually watching more than just the commercials. I watched the game and I understood it. I was so proud of myself.

Although...I really can't wait for the next season of Dancing with the Stars.

I love me some college football, but I'm not big into NFL, and I can't stand basketball because of the squeaking. Yeah, I know that's lame, but it's true. Luckily, I married someone who has the same view on football as me and really doesn't much care about other sports-win!

I work for Pizza Hut actually, and we have been selling those Big Dippers like CRAZY. They're made a lot like the cheesesticks are, actually!
