Good Monday, all. I was tagged by Salt today with this nifty little 3 Things survey, and since I'm trying too hard not to vomit from the green bean smells to be funny, I'll let this survey be my muse:
3 names I go by…
1. Amanda (cop out, I know)
2. Manny (my fam and a few random others)
3. AJ (not so much anymore -- the J was my maiden name and I will occasionally get an AJ from people who knew me back yonder)
1. Amanda (cop out, I know)

2. chicken wing slinger (Buffalo Wild Wings)
3. medical advertisement sales executive (Don't worry, you guys, I might have been an executive but I can still relate to the little people)

1. Highland Heights, KY
2. Huntington, WV
3. Gainesville, FL
3 favorite drinks…
1. Water (with lemon)
2. regular coke
3. coffee with cream and sugar

3 fave dishes…
1. Chicken lo mein

It was super hard for me to come up with three considering the only thing I could stomach today for lunch was a can of pears and some rice Chex.

2. My baby coming in November
3 people I am tagging…
1. Allyson

And don't' feel sad because I didn't explicitly call you out to do this survey. I mean really, I've just placed a burden on all these lovely ladies because if they don't do this they will be dead to me. (Just kidding) (sort of) But please feel free to just pick it up and fill it out yourself, especially if you don't have anything else to post.
You know what? While I'm at it, I'm going to do Ian's Monday Minute:

1 - What drugs have you done in your life?
None because I'm high on life!
2 - A/S/L?
29/f/FL <--and this reminds me of ye olde days of the Internet when everyone had AOL or Compuserv as their ISP and chat rooms were all the rage. Creepy, skeevy, scary chat rooms and we just went on and were all, "A/S/L? tee hee" as innocent as the day is long. And honestly, the first time I entered a chat room and somebody said "IM me!" just to the general room in hopes of striking up a conversation, I thought the person meant I'M me as in the contraction for "I am me" and by that they were saying, "I'm me! I am happy with who I am! I'm a good person and people like me!" and I'm all, the internet sure is a positive place. IF I ONLY KNEW WHAT I KNOW NOW.
3 - Do you pick your nose?
YES. And if you say no, I'm calling it right here, you're a fibber. Hey Pinocchio, your nose sure is long (or, if you prefer, "Denial ain't just a river in Egypt!") Of course I pick my nose. How else do you get the really tough stragglers so you can breathe clearly?
4 - What's your favorite childhood cartoon
I recall loving Garfield quite a bit. Also? Muppet Babies. ALSO? My Little Ponies.
5 - List the URL, of what you believe to be the best blog post you've ever done

When people would ask me ASL I'd always say...
38/Outdoor plumbing/City equidistant from Ohio and Illinois...
If they said "What???" then I usually ignored them... if htey got the joke... well... cool.
Are you sure there isn't someone messing you with and opening cans of green beans just out of sight?
Oh how I loved Hee Haw! I'll have to see if I can find it on TV up here!
Sorry the pukies still have you down. Hopefully it won't last much longer.
It took me like 10 years to figure out what A/S/L stood for. I was never on the up and up with my internet chat rooms when I was younger.
And seriously...EVERYONE picks their nose. Whether you use a tissue or not, it's still nose picking.
Green beans be gone!
Did you know there's a Press Your Luck game for the Wii? Every time I see it the impulse buyer in me wants to pick it up, but then I remember all those other video games Man later wound up dusting off and trading for something he'll actually play.
Should I ever host an actual party again in my life, though.. I'm buying it.
And while we're on the subject of retro tv, I consider the Golden Girls to be more timeless than actually retro.
Feel better!!
Great survey! Hope you feel better soon.
My little ponies...awesome. How I Met Your Mother and 30 Rock, also awesome.
your post makes me want to watch tv right now. too bad i'm at work :-/
You even phoned in your first answer, dude.
We'll see Amanda back here in the second trimester. :)
LOVED Hee Haw! I used to watch it at my grandparents house out Wayne when I was little! haha
This is why I like you so much. I was born in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky - which, I'm pretty sure, is somewhere right around Highland Heights. Also, we watch the same TV shows. So, pretty much, aside from you being sick of Tim Tebow, and me not being able to get enough, we're practically the same person!
P.S. I missed the memo on the baby! Congrats!!
I was just telling Cathy how I have nothing in common with her answers to the 3's. But I think I could answer the same on a lot of yours.
I too am anxious for your baby to arrive in November!!
Oh no, I can't be dead to you! Luckily this comes just in time for my mid-week lack of motivation so in a way I owe you! Sorry you're still sicklies off the green beans, I wish I had a solution!
Big fan of Muppet babies. Thanks for giving me the courage to admit that. Talking about my nose picking will take me a bit longer to share with the class. Sorry.
Don't feel bad about the IM thing. I thought ASL meant American Sign Language, right up till I read your answer. Ya, who is the dork now. AND I pick my nose, more than once a day. Sorry for the morning sickness (not really, I'm still super envious)
No Whammy! No Whammy! No Whammy! Loved Press Your Luck!
Hey now...pipe down, Missy.
Have you ever included the words,
Panty Folder" on a resume? I bet you'd get the job in a second with that impressive title.
I'll totally do this soon!
I hate the sharp boogers...you know the ones. You go to rub the outside of your nose and it brings tears to your eyes...yeah, those. Who DOESN'T pick to get rid of them ASAP?
Ah! ASL is still so creepy to me. Yet I somehow always want to tweet it because I find it's old schoolness hilarious.
I know, I make no sense.
i know that you probably get preggo advice out the whahzoo now so feel free to totally ignore me if you wanna, but i had some heinous morning sickness my last pregnancy. i drank about 652 gallons of ginger ale before i found sea bands. it's an acupressure thing. they have them at the walmarts for about $5. alls i know is that i could get off the couch after i started wearing them. :)
liked 'em so much that i blogged about 'em:

Good for you creating a nice supportive space for the nose picking!
That 2nd trimester will be here before you know it!
Yes I have picked my my nose. But as least I don't eat it like my 5 year old or wipe it on my socks like my father-in-law.
Thank you for getting the Muppet Babies theme song stuck in my head. ;p
i agree with like a million of your answers.
especially the deep dish pizza, golden girls, and hollywood/la.
hope you are feeling better, and i seriously can not wait for november. i am living vicariously through your pregnancy. a little weird? maybe...
Thanks for the fun survey.
I added it to my blog as well.
