But as slow as a work day with no co-workers is, I'm a little bit glad that I can get some things done, like the annual online in-services that have to be completed by December 31. We have five of them to take, including patient safety and HIPPA and fire safety.
Oh, and can't forget the one about Infectious Diseases, which is a lovely thing to learn about the first day back after Christmas. HIV and tuberculosis really put me in a jolly mood.
As I'm reading the educational materials that go along with each quiz, I notice the image on the following slide (the one about Hepatitis B -- Happy New Year! Learn about the ways you can be infected with Hep B!)
Finished?
THAT IS CLEARLY A PICTURE OF A MOTHER/SON WEDDING DANCE. That clip art is all kinds of inappropriate, people! There should be a ban of all Microsoft Office clip art from now until infinity. You mean to tell me that that sweet little old lady is either a carrier of Hep B or is currently sleeping with the young man in a tux. Really. Of all the clip art in all the world, this is the one that someone decided most accurately reflects the transmitting Hep B through sexual contact.
Mercy.
